How green are our products?

When you see the logo it means:

• Our cards are printed on ECF and FSC sustainable papers (certification number sa-coc-1854 cj) which means the paper can be traced back to the original trees
• We only use vegetable based inks. Vegetable based inks are an alternative to petroleum based inks. The oils can be made from a variety of vegetables such as corn, walnut, coconut, linseed, canola and soy-beans. The environmental benefit of this is that the oils are a renewable resource. In addition, once the cards are printed, the print press can be cleaned using a water based cleaner as opposed to one high in solvents. Vegetable inks are easier to de-ink, assisting in the recycling process.
• Our cellophane wrappers are biodegradable. The wrappers decompose within 45 days when placed into a composting facility, leaving nothing but H²O and C0₂
